Dr. Hernán Guadalupe

Dr. Hernán Guadalupe is the co-founder and COO of Hablamos Islam, Inc. Dr. Hernán, whose family is from Ecuador, embraced Islam in 2001 while earning his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. Since then he has been involved in dawah work, volunteering for organizations like WhyIslam, the North Hudson Islamic Educational Center, and Islam.net. He earned recognition as a keynote speaker for The PrimeXample Company, a non-profit organization he founded in 2005, presenting lectures on Islam at various universities including Columbia, Montclair, Rutgers, William Patterson, Temple, Fordham, and George Mason University.
Dr. Hernán has studied Islamic sciences at the Islamic Learning Foundation, the American Open University, and the University of Mishkah. He also spent a year in Cairo, Egypt, where he studied and completed the classical Arabic curriculum at the Fajr Center for the Arabic Language.
In addition to his Islamic studies, Dr. Hernán is a full-time engineer with a doctorate in business administration from Walden University and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Currently, Dr. Hernán is a professor at the National Dawah Academy (NDA) teaching courses on Dawah to Latinos and Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
